Our journey to creating activewear for ladies
In Broadford, Victoria, mother-daughter duo Lisa and Georgia embarked on a business journey to combine their love for Pilates with a mission to empower women.
Lisa's discovery of Pilates in 2018 was a turning point in her personal wellness journey. It was more than a practice; it was a catalyst for self-renewal, fostering a sense of empowerment that helped her through struggles with weight and mental health. Driven by her experience, Lisa became an advocate for its benefits, leading her to become a Pilates instructor, eventually founding 'The Helping Hand Pilates' studio from her spare bedroom.
Armed with just two reformer beds, Lisa set the stage for a wellness revolution that would soon ripple through the Broadford community.
As word spread throughout Mitchell Shire and her Pilates classes became more popular, Lisa's home studio quickly outgrew the space. The spare bedroom was soon replaced by a more spacious setup in her garage, accommodating four reformers and, eventually, to a small studio in Broadford boasting nine reformers.
The studio now operates seven days a week and is staffed by a dedicated team of four Pilates enthusiasts, each sharing Lisa's vision of empowerment through movement.
After completing her high school education, Georgia, Lisa's daughter, a star Basketball player, embraced her role within the thriving Pilates community
Georgia had long appreciated Reformer Pilates for enhancing her core stability, strength, and conditioning to improve her Basketball game. Inspired by the remarkable boost in her mother's confidence through Pilates, Georgia eagerly stepped into the family business to pursue a career in sports and fitness.
Beyond her achievements on the basketball court and her dedication in the Pilates studio, Georgia nurtures a passion for designing women's activewear, merging creativity with functionality to create gym attire for ladies that empowers and inspires.
Here's where the womens activewear comes in...
Recognising the common concerns about appearance and comfort among the women in their studio, Lisa and Georgia were inspired to make a difference.
They designed a stylish line of women's activewear that moved with bodies, not against them, enabling women to be strong and active with confidence. At the core of THHactive lies their dedication to women's empowerment, motivating them to embrace fitness and cherish their bodies at every age.
Together, Lisa and Georgia's journey from a home studio to a beloved activewear brand stands as a testament to the power of shared dreams, resilience and the belief in every woman's potential to "Wear Your Power."
